Ethisphere Institute Launches Online Anti-Corruption Resource Center

The Ethisphere Institute is partnering with law firms and other experts to launch the Anti-Corruption Resource Center, a collection of online tools and resources designed to share best practices and practical advice in global anti-corruption efforts.

The ACRC provides an analysis of global anti-corruption efforts, updates on international regulations, best practices, online tools, and benchmarking resources. It is geared toward in-house counsel as well as white-collar attorneys, researchers, and academics.

"Corruption is a cause for concern within every multinational company, today more than ever, because of both the gravity of bribe-paying and the constantly evolving regulatory landscape," said Stefan Linssen, Ethisphere's editor-in-chief.

The ACRC also offers:
• compliance and training videos;
• free anti-corruption diagnostics from Corpedia;
• a searchable review of 2,000 companies' anti-bribery policies and best practices; and
• a database of non-prosecution and deferred-prosecution agreements entered into by the U.S. Department of Justice.
The database is searchable by more than a dozen criteria, such as independent monitoring requirements, compliance program mandates, related regulatory agencies, and amount of fines and restitution. It was built by Haynes and Boone attorneys Ryan McConnell, Larry Finder, and Katharine Southard of the firm's Houston office.

"Companies continue to experience corruption on a global scale, and resources like this provide further insight on the latest anti-corruption regulations and developments," said McConnell, who is a partner in the law firm's white-collar criminal defense practice and an occasional contributor to CorpCounsel.com.
Ethisphere is a research think-tank and forum for advancing business ethics, based in New York City.
